It's Finally Friday

Friday, October 24, 2014

Pop the bubbly, it's Friday! For me, this week lacked some major sleep and I can't wait to relax and finally catch up on it. For those of y'all still trying to figure out your plans, this weekend is filled with all kinds of events. Grab and friend and check them out!

Tonight, culture yourself by attending Fernbank Museum's Martinis and IMAX. They will be playing Goose Bumps! The Science of Fear, exploring the physiological, neurological, and sociological aspects of fear, on their IMAX screen. Enjoy a speciality cocktail menu, small plates, live entertainment, dancing, and more.

Taste of Atlanta starts today in Midtown at Tech Square and goes through Sunday. Featuring over 300 tastes, chefs from all over Atlanta come to whip up their favorite dishes for you to try. Watch chef demos, take a cooking class, or just enjoy the sights while tasting some of the best food Atlanta has to offer.

Head up to Stone Mountain Park today through Sunday for the Country Living Fair. Country Living Magazine only has this fair in two other cities in the US so people travel from all over. This fair has vintage and brand new items ranging from accessories, home decor, clothing, and food. They also offer seminars, demonstrations, and a chance to meet the magazine's editors. Get to thrifting!

This Saturday, throw on your best Halloween costume and take on the Buckhead Creepy Crawl 3. Your ticket will get you complementary drinks and shots, a slice of pizza, food and drink specials, and entered into a Halloween contest with tons of great prizes. The Creepy Crawl bars include 5 Paces, Pool Hall, Your Pie, Dive Bar, Stout, and Hangovers, with the costume contest at East Andrews.

For all the beer lovers out there, you can't miss the Georgia Craft Beer Festival happening this Saturday at Candler Park. This festival will include craft beer from over 30 of Georgia's top breweries, games, live entertainment, arts and crafts, and food trucks galore. A ticket gets you a souvenir sampling glass, festival guide, and samples of 100+ craft beers. Although, you don't need a ticket to get in to enjoy the live music and food trucks. If you take Uber, use promo code ATLCRAFTBEER14 and save $30 on your first ride because parking is limited.
