Chipotle Honey Drumsticks

serves 4

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a fantastic Thanksgiving weekend with family and friends! Mine was wonderful and a much needed break from work. Surprisingly, I didn't actually go to any stores this Black Friday...shocked I know! Instead, I bought a couple last minute things I need for my apartment and some clothes online, because why fight the crowds if you don't need to? BUT, today is Cyber Monday and you know I will be hunting online for some great deals. I've rounded up my best so far, so be sure to check them out!

Now, back to what this post is actually about...these chipotle honey drumsticks! I went to the Falcon vs. Cardinals game yesterday and made these delicious drumsticks for our tailgate. They are the perfect combination of sweet and spicy! They are a little on the hotter side, so if you are sensitive to spice I would recommend adding less chipotle powder and more honey. I hope you enjoy!

What You Need
1 1/2 - 2 lbs drumsticks or wings
1/4 cup honey
1 TBS chipotle powder
1 TBS coconut sugar
1  TSP cumin
1 TSP paprika
1 1/2 TSP sea salt
1 TSP onion powder
1 TSP garlic powder
1 TSP ground mustard

1. Preheat the oven to 400°.
2. In a small bowl, combine everything except the drumsticks or wings and the honey.
3. Place aluminum foil over a baking sheet and then place a wire rack on top.
4. Place drumsticks or wings on wire rack and sprinkle generously with the seasoning. Make sure to get all sides covered.
5. Bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes and then remove drumsticks or wings from oven and drizzle with half of the honey. Keep oven at 400°.
6. Return the drumsticks or wings back to the oven to bake for an additional 10 minutes.
7. Remove from the oven and drizzle with the remaining honey. Serve hot with a side of ranch!
